St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church will be hosting the Los Osos International Festival on Sunday, September 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2050 Palisades Avenue in Los Osos.
The festival opens with the Parade of Nations, honoring our multiculturalism with many flags. A host of food booths reflect the multinational flavors of our community: Filipino, Mexican, Peruvian, seafood from our shared shores, and good old American hotdogs, brats, and beer. A sweets booth will feature homemade goodies, also with international flavors.
Activities include games for children, face painting, and perhaps even a visit from the local fire department with their big red truck and law enforcement with its “Viper.” There will be ongoing captivating entertainment, including bands, a DJ and multiple performing dance groups.
There is also a silent auction with many enticing bidding choices, including a chance to bid highest for a homemade Filipino dinner with Father Joey.
A raffle will be held with a chance to win the $1,000 grand prize, as well as many other prizes donated by our notable local sponsors. Raffle tickets are now available at the church, and from the parishioners, but can also be obtained at the festival. Winners need not be present to win.
All proceeds benefit church nonprofit activities and programs. For more information call the church office at 805–235–8803.
