Get ready for a musical that will have you tapping your toes in your seats while cheering for love, friendship and the embrace of unconventional families.
Morro Bay High School Drama Club presents “Mamma Mia.” Set on a colorful Greek island, the plot serves as a background for a wealth of ABBA songs including “Dancing Queen,” “Honey, Honey” and “Take a Chance on Me” among many others.
Sophie, a young woman about to be married in paradise, discovers that any one of three men could be her father. She wants her father to walk her down the aisle. They need to figure this out. Sophie invites all three potential fathers to the wedding without telling her mother, Donna Sheridan, who was once the lead singer of Donna and the Dynamos.
The public is invited to performances Friday April 10 at 7 p.m., Saturday April 11 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., Sunday April 12 at 2 p.m., Friday April 17 at 7 p.m., and Saturday April 18 at 2 and 7 p.m. Adult tickets are $15, and tickets for students or child are $12.
