What has society come to when an 18-year-old young man, “fascinated” with the massacre at Columbine High School in Colorado, walks into a library with a SHOTGUN and KILLS TWO PEOPLE AND the prosecutors WON’T SEEK THE DEATH PENALTY? Our prison system is already in trouble, and we are going to SUPPORT this MURDERER for SIXTY YEARS OR MORE? I don’t believe in “an eye for an eye” but something is DEFINITELY WRONG with the Justice system as well.

Wind Turbines Don’t Belong in Migration Path
Seeing all these whales the last few weeks was a reminder that the proposed wind farm location was a horrible idea! How did any environmentalists think it was a good idea to put wind turbines in the middle of a major migration route? The offshore area where they wanted to put the wind turbines is some of the most pristine ocean south of Big Sur. It is a major migratory highway for marine life and birds. Millions of birds and marine life (fish and whales) pass through the region each year as they have been for thousands of years.
We have ruined wildlife’s migratory patterns on land do we really need to start ruining the oceans as well? And not to mention the fiberglass blades often break sending shards into the sea and onto our beaches. And once the turbines are outdated they would probably be left out there like a graveyard of inadequate technology (like the stacks). And how about the people that were bought off to think it was a good idea. How did any environmentalists get brainwashed into thinking the location was a good idea? Take the blinders off. Think for yourself. Question authority. Common sense. Clean not mean.
Keep it out of the sea.

Deceit and Disqualification
I object to elected officers resigning their post before the end of the stipulated term. A candidate petitions the public to elect him/her to fulfill governing responsibilities for a period of time. The office’s responsibilities are not to be exceeded nor neglected and neither should be the term period. To do otherwise is deceitful and should disqualify the person from running for another public office.
