With profound sadness and endless love, we announce the passing of Teresa Woodman, who entered into eternal rest on August 3, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved more than anything in this world. She was 74 years old.
To know Teresa was to know what it meant to be loved. She was the heart of her family — the loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, cherished sister and aunt, and loyal friend who always seemed to have room in her heart for one more person.
Teresa had a way of making people feel welcome, cared for, and important. She was kind, compassionate, strong, and generous with her love. She was the person you could count on, the person who would show up, and the person who always seemed to know when someone needed a little extra encouragement. Her love wasn’t just something she talked about, it was something she showed every single day.
Her family was her greatest joy. She loved nothing more than having everyone together. Some of the most treasured memories will be the simple ones: sitting around the dinner table, gathering for holidays, sharing meals, laughing together, and watching her children and grandchildren grow. She rarely missed a sporting event, and she was always prepared with her famous bag of snacks. She loved cheering from the sidelines and being there for every milestone, big or small.
Teresa wasn’t just a mother and grandmother, she was the glue that held the family together. She created a home where everyone knew they belonged. Her love, advice, strength, and sometimes even her gentle reminders will be missed more than words can express.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Tim Woodman, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, marriage, family, and memories. She is also survived by her children, Cory Woodman, Brian Woodman, Amy Woodman, and Danny Woodman; daughters-in-law, Sandi Woodman and Dea Woodman; and grandchildren, Maci Woodman, Kati Woodman, Cody Waldon, Cash Waldon, Austin Woodman, and Easton Woodman. Her brother, Ronnie James, and sister, Tina Hayes. She also leaves behind extended family and countless friends who were fortunate enough to experience her kindness, friendship, laughter, and love.
Teresa was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth “Betty” James; father, Earl James; brother, Mickey James; mother-in-law, Opel Woodman; father-in-law, Edward Woodman; and sister-in-law, Donna Woodman.
The loss of Teresa has left a hole in our family that can never truly be filled. We will miss her voice, her laugh, her hugs, her advice, and simply having her there. We will miss the little things we may not have realized were so important until they were gone.
But as difficult as it is to say goodbye, we find comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering and is finally at peace. We will carry her with us in the stories we tell, the traditions we continue, the lessons she taught us, and the love we share with one another.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Teresa’s memory in the way she lived her life: love your family, be kind to others, show up for the people you care about, and never miss an opportunity to make someone feel loved. If you would like to bring something to share at the celebration of life, the family would appreciate your favorite appetizer or dessert.
Teresa may no longer be sitting at the table with us, cheering from the sidelines, or welcoming us through her door, but she will always have a place in our family.
Her love will live on in her children, her grandchildren, and every person whose life she touched.
She was deeply loved.
She will be deeply missed.
She will be lovingly remembered.
And she will never, ever be forgotten.
