Our beloved matriarch, Vernetta Holly Freer, lived an extraordinary life beyond anything we could have ever imagined.
She passed away peacefully on Thursday October 8, at the remarkable age of 105, in Morro Bay with her daughter Lynn Meissen and son Cal Meissen at her side.
How incredibly blessed we have been to have her with us for so many wonderful years. She was a cherished sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, leaving behind generations of love, laughter, and beautiful memories.
She was always the life of the party, filling every room with her unforgettable stories, humor, and larger-than-life personality. Year after year, we gathered around the table to celebrate another year of her incredible life, listening to stories we may have heard a hundred times but never grew tired of hearing.
What a gift it was to have so many years, so many celebrations, and so many memories with the woman who helped shape our family.
