The City of Morro Bay Recreation Services will launch The Current, a recreation guide, arriving Thursday, November 5, in the Estero Bay News.

A current is the steady movement of water through a larger body of water, connecting places and carrying things along the way. Much like the ocean currents that define our coastal community, the guide is designed to keep Morro Bay connected to all the fun, activities, and opportunities happening around town.

“The Current will be your go-to source for information on upcoming community events, recreational classes, youth and adult sports, seasonal programs, and all the exciting activities offered by Morro Bay Recreation Services,” said Recreation Supervisor Angelica Jepsen. “Whether you’re looking to try a new class, get involved in a community event, find activities for the family, or discover your next adventure, The Current will help you stay informed and connected.

“We wanted to create a central resource where our community can discover everything Morro Bay Recreation Services has to offer. From classes and sports to special events and family activities, The Current will help residents stay connected, explore new opportunities, and find more ways to get involved in their community.”

The Current is a quarterly publication with new editions planned for February, May, August, and November, giving residents a regular source of information about programs, activities, and events throughout the year.
