Morro Bay’s Lighted Boat Parade was a dazzling success both in turnout and the weather. Normally a 50-50 chance of it being cold or windy, Dec. 13 was a clear, calm and almost balmy evening with hundeds of people lining the waterfront from Morro Rock to Tidelands Park. The decorated boats included sailboats, motor boats, electric boats, and pontoon boats, with a number of commercial fishing boats and more lighting up the harbor for Christmas.
