The Los Osos Valley Garden Club (LOVGC) held a Spring Plant Sale Fundraiser at the Red Barn in Los Osos attracting green thumbs from Estero Bay.
“We are still buzzing from the energy over last weekend,” said Ashley Smith, LOVGC President. “Our first year at the Red Barn venue was a dream — more space, more plants, and more of our wonderful community coming together. We are deeply grateful to everyone who came out to support us, rain or shine.”
The event was officially opened with a Chamber of Commerce ceremonial ribbon-cutting, symbolizing a “new era” of growth for the Los Osos Valley Garden Club.
In alignment with its core mission, LOVGC will utilize the proceeds raised from the sale to promote gardening appreciation, civic beautification, environmental responsibility, and horticultural education throughout the Los Osos Valley.
The Los Osos Valley Garden Club invites the community to remain engaged during Earth Week. This week, LOVGC begins a multi-day rejuvenation project and long-term design overhaul at the South Bay Community Center. The club will also host an informational booth with plants and youth activities during the local Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 25 at Sunnyside School in Los Osos from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
