San Luis native and longtime Cayucos resident, Jeff Malmen, wore many hats. He was known to the surf community as the “Ding Doctor” and creator of “Soulrider Surfboards.” He was a talented guitar player performing at many local events with the bands, Warthogs and Stagefright. He was head of custodial services at Cuesta College keeping it neat and tidy since 1983.
Jeff was a devoted family man and father, married to Cyndie since 1979. He shared himself with everyone he met offering his unique perspective and vast knowledge on a variety of subjects, sometimes a little too eager but always in the spirit of generosity! He was a force of nature and is truly missed.
