Family, community members, and customers came from near and far to celebrate the life of Tish Linsley, a beloved local and business owner.

Tish and her husband, the late Lee Linsley, started the Los Osos Valley Nursery in 1977 and built more than a business together. Tish and her daughter, Hope Merkle, carried on the welcoming atmosphere, wealth of information, and beautiful plants when Lee died.

“I want to thank people for the outpouring of love we have received for my mom who passed away on February 14,” said Hope on social media. “My mom was an amazing person, and we miss her dearly.

“For those of you who know of Tish and Lee’s love story, the symbolism of her departing so close to Valentine’s Day and the anniversary of his death is so mystical (much like her). We know that Tish wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Tish was surrounded by her whole family with the utmost love, comfort, and with her lipstick on ready to reunite with the love of her life, Lee.

“Tish’s eternal light will live on in the many people she touched so deeply. We know that for many, this light made meaningful and long-lasting impressions on you. It was her superpower, her mission, and it is what we hope you remember her for. Her kindness and sweetness knew no bounds, and she would be so happy and slightly embarrassed, to have seen the community outpouring that the family has experienced. Thank you all for your kind words and support.”
