In these uncertain times, with the whole world united to fight an invisible enemy, we were grateful for this photo by Bill Pisor of Morro Bay of a spectacular double rainbow that appeared over the harbor after a recent rain shower.

The photo sent us in search of quotations about rainbows, of which there are many. Here are a few of our favorites:

“Like the rainbow after the rain, joy will reveal itself after sorrow,” ― Rupi Kaur, “The Sun and Her Flowers.”
“To be a rainbow in someone’s cloud is commendable, but I prefer to be the rain because it dampens cheeks and washes away tears,” ― Richelle E. Goodrich, “Slaying Dragons.”

“There is no envy, jealousy, or hatred between the different colors of the rainbow. And no fear either. Because each one exists to make the others’ love more beautiful,” ― Aberjhani, “Journey through the Power of the Rainbow: Quotations from a Life Made Out of Poetry.”

“Every sacrifice is another colour of your Rainbow!” ― Cass van Krah.

“Sometimes the greatest storms bring out the greatest beauty… Life can be a storm, but your hope is a rainbow and your friends and family are the gold,” ― Steve Maraboli.

With the Coronavirus making life so difficult and scary, we’re sure our readers have other rainbow sayings that come to mind with this amazing photo and that might be a comfort to others.

Send them, along with any amazing photos you take, to: editor@esterobaynews.com.
