Cayucos Fourth of July — Surf, Sand, Stars and Stripes

An estimated 20,000 people, bedecked in red, white and blue, lined Ocean Avenue in Cayucos for the Annual Independence Day Parade, as nearly 40 entries of all manner of patriotic good fun paraded down the Avenue to the cheers and the applause of the crowd. Returners this year were Nana’s Bunch, and the Robinson Family, revelers that have been in the parade for 30 years or more. The Wave Hogs, Cayucos’ house band made their annual appearance, fresh off a ‘world tour.’ New this year were the Coast Skate Club. Sea Shanty owners, Carol Kramer and Bill Shea, who are celebrating 40-years in business.
