Morro Bay City Hall has been sporting a new decoration, a photo collage of the recent parade for Del Mar Elementary School students.

The display shows some of the heartwarming scenes that played out as teachers and staffers from the school, led by the City’s Molly Trolley and community volunteer patrol car, rode through town honking and waving to the children and parents who — stuck sheltering at home — came out to greet them.

Such parades have been held across the nation, including a recent one in Los Osos, as school officials stay connected with children and parents that make up the nucleus of the school family.
