The Cayucos Lions Club is now taking applications for its annual Independence Day Parade, set for Friday, July 4 in Downtown Cayucos. This year’s theme is “Beach Cowboy.” This all-volunteer driven event is San Luis Obispo County’s biggest 4th of July Parade.

An estimated 30,000 people attended last year. The parade is part of a daylong celebration of our nation’s independence that concludes with a fireworks show off the Cayucos Pier. Families, businesses, service organizations or a group of friends can all be a part of the parade fun. Proceeds from the event help support the Lions charitable endeavors in the community. The application to join can be found at e-clubhouse.org/sites/Cayucos. The deadline to sign up this year is May 31.
