Did you receive your NO on A-24 card? The deception displayed is alarming.
NO on A-24 people deem themselves, “responsible stewards of Morro Bay,” but their actions speak otherwise.
— They supported Vistra’s MOU that irresponsibly traded away our $1 lien to own 100 acres of oceanfront property. When in fact, by litigating PG&E’s deed restrictions, we can easily force the clean-up of the toxic property at no cost to us.
— They claim Vistra promises “to spend $30 million to clean up the toxic power plant” yet fail to mention Vistra’s option to opt out and instead give the City a pathetic $3 million. Would you spend $30 million or $3 million? Pretty obvious what Vistra will choose.
— They say, “a NO vote will protect our interests,” but we know that the very best protectors of our interests in Morro Bay is the collective of over 5100 voting residents who have invested their heart and life savings in this beautiful, unique and peaceful town.
Be smart and protect your ability to be heard when major changes to our precious waterfront are made. YES, on A-24 protects your democratic right to make a difference.
