Michele Rae Fellows of Los Osos died unexpectedly on Jan. 5, 2025.
Michele was born on May 24, 1969 at Memorial Hospital in Long Beach to parents Ray and Mary Jean Cason.
She attended Cal State Fullerton, earning a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree. She worked in the 1990s for KNAC Radio, a legendary Heavy Metal station out of Long Beach that helped launch the careers of bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Stryper, Pantera, White Zombie, and Guns ‘N Roses.
She married Jim Fellows some 27-years ago and they have two adult children, Alexis and Ryan.
When Alexis was born she suffered from severe food allergies and Michele sought a way to help her daughter and other similarly afflicted children. She developed special recipes for cupcakes, cookies and cakes that were free of dairy, egg, gluten (wheat) and nuts, and selling them at Sweet Alexis Bakery, which she opened in 2008 next to Lemos Feed & Pet Supply on 10th Street in Los Osos. She owned Sweet Alexis for 10 years, and sold the safe treats online, as well.
Michele dedicated over 10 years as a cheerleading coach for both our youth football league and Morro Bay High School, mentoring countless young athletes.
She was a board member of the Morro Bay Car Show for three years. Michele loved her community dearly, dedicating her time and talent to support those she cared about.
Funeral arrangements were being worked out by the family.
