Steve was born and raised in Santa Barbara, with his six brothers and sisters, to parents Edna and Charles Rezzonico. He graduated from Santa Barbara High School Class of 1963.

Steve spent his entire career working for the County of Santa Barbara in the Public Works Department as Facilities Supervisor. Steve and Janet (Gallagher) lived in Ventura and Ojai; and eventually retired in Morro Bay. There they enjoyed visiting with friends in their neighborhood and daily walks on the beach with their furry friends Ernie and Andy. Steve especially treasured the time he spent with Janet and their loyal four-legged companions.

Steve is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janet. He is also survived by his daughters, Tracy (Ron) Hoogendyk of McCall, Idaho, and Maia Simonson of Encinitas, California, along with his grandchildren — Jacquelyn, Kylie, Summer, and Dylan.

The family would like to thank the Caregivers at Westmont Santa Barbara and Central Coast Hospice for all of their care and compassion that provided immeasurable comfort during his final chapter. He will be laid to rest at Santa Barbara Cemetery.
