Gas Tax Should Maintain Freeways

I am an antique road and street map collector from E-bay and the former www.20centurymaps.com, as well as a Facebook group member of the Freeways of Los Angeles Facebook group. I have been doing my research into the development of the Los Angeles freeway system covering Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. My concern is how California highways and freeways are being maintained, with the widening of Interstate 5 (Old U.S. 6 & 99) Golden State Freeway and Interstate 5 (Old U.S. 101) Santa Ana Freeway as well as the future widening of Interstate 605 San Gabriel River Freeway from Interstate 5 to Interstate 10 (Old U.S. 60, 70, 99) San Bernardino Freeway with HOV lanes and 5 lanes in the northbound and southbound lanes.

With the SB-1 gasoline tax funds it is time that our 60 to 70+ old freeways are maintained on a regular basis over a period of time without spending the money on something else that is not freeway and highway related. My parents are Automobile Club of Southern California members since the year of 1981, and my research is within Caltrans different districts on the Internet.
