The Los Osos/Baywood Park Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Los Osos Rotary Club, recently held its first ice cream social and open house at the Chamber’s office, 2141 Bush Drive in Los Osos, behind Steve Auslander’s office.
Several local businesses helped make the event a success. Brightside Pizza donated delicious pizzas a a gift certificate that was offered as a door prize. SLO Roasted Coffee and Los Osos Rexall also contributed donations to the event. Musician Jim Scoolis provided live music throughout the evening, adding to the relaxed and festive atmosphere while guests enjoyed pizza, hot dogs and, of course, plenty of ice cream while visiting with friends and meeting other members of the community.
Among the more than 50 attendees were San Luis Obispo County Board Supervisor-Elect Jim Dantona, Senator John Laird representative Clint Weirick, CEO of the Morro Bay Chamber of Commerce Tina Clark, and Director of Membership and Marketing for the Cambria Chamber of Commerce Katherine Gillen.
The Chamber’s new office will serve as a place for members and the community to connect, learn more about Chamber activities and support local businesses. Keep up with the Chamber at lopbchamber.org.
Publisher’s Note:
A big thank you to my two sons, Ryan and Connor, for their help with this event, along with Gavin Marshall for sharing his time and, of course, Bubba who did nothing but eat.
