Celebrate the holiday season with new flavors at the 4th annual Harmony Christmas Market from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, December 15.

The Christmas Market will have 20 to 25 vendors featuring unique hand-crafted gifts including Surf Gems, Big Sur Jewelry, Mehlenbacher’s Artisan Taffy, vintage clothing, jade and sea glass, wood carvings, holiday decor and more.

Lively music will add nostalgia to the festive one-block setting. Stroll over to the glass-blowing shop and across the frisbee-cow plaza to the delightfully unique pottery gallery with beautiful ceramics to please even the most difficult Christmas list challenges!

For the kids a visit by Santa Claus is rumored for gift discussions and photo ops.

The humble hamlet between Cayucos and Cambria is enhanced by a new food venue, Harmony Tiny Kitchen, which will have a soft opening of its eatery next to the Creamery Association’s Ice Cream Truck in front of the Post Office at 2177 Old Creamery Road. Selection headings include four “sandwich melts,” three “bowls” and five “tiny bites” servings.

Serving up delicious sandwiches, hearty soups, fresh salads and delightful cheese boards, the proprietors are no strangers to the hamlet. Christina Dillow opened her first-ever restaurant as the Harmony Pasta Factory and Saloon on her 23rd birthday decades ago. The restaurant operated successfully for seven years. After she sold to her business partner, she moved on to restaurants in SLO and Atascadero. COVID challenges brought the demise of experimental restaurant operations along the Salinas River section of the county.

With new business partners, Glen and Sabrina Shannon, the Harmony Tiny Kitchen comes to life. Sandwiches use ciabatta rolls, and readers will want to check out their selections of beer and wine to savor the experience.

After the opening day, the Tiny Kitchen will be open Thursdays through Sundays, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more details or contact information, visit their website: tinykitchenharmony.com.
