These charming, locally made dolls, above, are available at Cambria Inspirations in the West Village.

Buying from artisans and other creatives and supporting local small businesses just feels good. Big box stores have their place, sure, but walk into a studio or a lovingly curated small store and it just feels different, in the best way.

However, these days many artisans and even small businesses have migrated online, making it a bit harder to find and support these folks.

The Estero Bay News has searched down a few places for you to start.

Find a pottery collective, glassblowing shop (ask about lessons) and an ice cream truck. Up the road a bit you’ll also find Harmony Cellars tasting room.
