Barbara (Barb) Heyer passed away in her home in Los Osos, CA on July 25, 2020 after an incredibly courageous and stalwart battle with cancer. She was 82-years-old.

Barbara was born on January 27, 1938 in Los Angeles, CA. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Charles Eugene (Gene) Heyer, originally of Eagle Rock, CA. They spent their years happily together in San Diego, Escondido, and for the past 10 years Los Osos.

Barbara was an exceptional seamstress, her favorite hobby for over 60 years. She was an avid reader, loved travel, wine tasting and studying the Bible throughout her lifetime.

She will be greatly missed by her large circle of friends, family, community and church members. She leaves behind her adult children, a son Bob in San Diego, and daughter Linda in Newport Beach. She also leaves behind two granddaughters, Paige Henderson and Molly Brooks. Given the COVID-19 climate, no plans for a memorial service have been made at this time. However, in her memory, the family is considering a posting on ForeverMissed.com in the near future.

Donations can be made in Barbara’s name to Cayucos Community Church, Samaritans Purse, Salvation Army or the American Cancer Society.
