• Nov. 29: Police stopped a suspicious vehicle at 10:22 p.m. at Main and Beach, the heart of the danger zone. Logs indicated the driver was nicked for the unholy trinity — a suspended license, blowing through a stop sign, and suspicion of driving mangled. Say good-night Gracie.

• Nov. 26: At 1:05 p.m. police contacted a suspicious subject at Atascadero Road and the Embarcadero. Logs indicated the apparent beach bum had a bench warrant from out of town and was found to allegedly be in possession of drug paraphernalia, his stash no doubt already smoked.

• Nov. 25: Police responded at 7:30 p.m. to a disturbance in the 2600 block of Greenwood.
