Morro Bay High School will honor its two CIF Championship sports teams with a parade down the waterfront ending at the high school where championship banners will be hung in the gym.

The Pirates’ Girls Cross Country Team won the CIF Central Section Div. IV Championship last fall; and the Girls’ Water Polo Team won the Central Section Div. II Championship, which also competed last fall.
The parade of champions starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 17 at Tidelands Park. The parade will go down the Embarcadero and around to Morro Bay High for a banner raising ceremony in the new gym.
Drivers should be aware of possible street closures during the parade.
