As the world tests the waters of a new normal, employees in most sectors have joined essential workers and are back in the labor force.

Los Osos Library

Diana Hammerlund and Derek Hood are back keeping readers on top of their game at the Los Osos Library, 2075 Palisades Ave.
Because there is a limited number of people that the library can safely admit into its facilities, they ask that patrons place holds at slolibrary.org, call in requests, or browse online collections in advance for the materials they wish to take home

Squeaks, Chirps and Bubbles

Pet lovers have been able to purchase supplies at Squeaks, Chirps and Bubbles, 1010 Los Osos Valley Rd., throughout most of the statewide shutdown. Pictured are Katy Long, owner, Rico, an Indian ring neck, Cheyenne Garcia, employee, and a conure that is waiting for a name.
