Happiness is a return to live theatre. March 25 through April 10, Cambria Center for the Arts Theatre presents their opening production of the 2022 season, “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown.” Spend a little time with your favorite Peanuts characters, Lucy, Linus, Schroeder, Sally, Snoopy and ,of course, the beloved Charlie Brown.

Filled with fun and uplifting tunes, the show takes us back to our childhood as Charlie Brown longs for the little red-headed girl, attempts kite flying and takes advice from the local psychiatrist, Lucy.  Snoopy battles the Red Baron and sings of his favorite time of day, suppertime! Linus sings of his love for his blanket and of course, Schroeder pays homage to Beethoven.

The CCAT production is directed by Bryce Prunty and stars some local favorites as well as new cast members.  Cambrian, Eric Bolton, stars as Charlie Brown. Eric was recently seen in “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.” Laura Richie brings the hilarious Lucy to life. Many will remember Laura for her outstanding performance in “Harvey.”  Rounding out the ensemble is Gary Hernandez-Borjan as Schroeder, Simon Lowrie as Linus, Joan Hurwit as Sally, and Moorea Prunty portrays Snoopy.  Musical direction is by Jeff Mar. Enjoy the live music and their newly improved sound system.

You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown plays Friday and Saturday evenings at 7 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m.  Tickets are available online, at the Cambria Center for the Arts website, Cambriaarts.org. Adults are $30, CCA members $25, and students are $20.  Seats are reserved and could be limited due to social distancing.

Masks will be required while indoors and proof of vaccination will need to be shown at the door. CCA will continue to monitor the current protocols and will adjust according to the county mandates.  Check the CCA website for updates.

Cambria Center for the Arts Theatre is located at 1350 Main St, in the old Grammar School, right in the heart of Cambria.
