Karen Eskelin left her little piece of heaven on earth to fly free with her earlier departed family, friends, and the hundreds of beloved animals she cared so deeply for on November 15, after several years of physical pain.

During her 30 years in Los Osos, she made many friends and no one was a stranger to her compassion and concern. She was an artistic spirit with an eye for beauty and kind acts, a whimsical sense of humor, and loved nature and all creatures.

May she fly like a song on the wind and remind us to be kind and generous. Special thanks to her amazing caregivers: Jana, Lorraine, Katie, Kailey, Hermila, and Sunny.
