The County and Cities of SLO County need to come up with a less politicized way to award special licenses and permits. Clear Administrative Objectives and background checks are a must. Politicians need to have their bank accounts checked for mysterious cash deposits and increasing debt on a random basis to keep them on their toes. Just like the Feds do before giving out security clearances.
