One of Morro Bay’s newest restaurants is offering special takeout family dinners and with each purchase will donate a meal to local families struggling with the Coronavirus shutdown.

Willow Family Restaurants in the Central Coast is offering “Easter Family Meals To Go” for families that are unable to leave their homes during the statewide shelter in place, reads a news release from the company.

For every family-style meal purchased, they will donate a meal to a family currently unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Company restaurants include Willow Market & Restaurant in Nipomo, Willow Kitchen & Cocktails in Pismo Beach, and the new Port House Restaurant in Morro Bay, 885 Embarcadero.

The family meals will feed six to eight people. Each comes with a glazed ham, multiple sides, and a dessert for $99 with the option to add two bottles of select wines for an additional $29. The free donated dinner will consist of the same.

Sides are mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, pan roasted gravy, roasted broccoli and cauliflower, maple glazed sweet potatoes, house salad with Balsamic and ranch, bread rolls and butter with bread pudding for dessert.

They will also have single person plates — ham for $15 and prime rib for $25 — available. Sides include mashed potatoes, pan roasted gravy, roasted broccoli and cauliflower, rolls and butter.

Wines are Sextant Chardonnay and Zinfandel.

Readers are advise to call in orders as soon as possible in order to coordinate the free meals for donation. Pickups will be available at each restaurant location.

“We hope this will give some relief to the families suffering from the shut down,” the company said.
